This led to the development of the first truly accurate instrument for vehicle speed measurement, hence the name Truvelo, which stands for "true velocity". Truvelo has since evolved to become a world-renowned supplier of road safety solutions.

Truvelo UK was established in September 1993 and is a specialist supplier of speed measurement technology. Truvelo UK provides Home Office Approved solutions for speed, red light and mobile enforcement.
